Sadly, I update you about Betty Lacefield's condition.  Betty died last night in Hospice Care after just one day there.  It has been a few years since Betty began her battle with breast cancer.  If you had a chance to see Betty just a few short  months ago, you would have seen the vibrant, cheerful, friendly classmate on the arm of her devoted partner Jack Arnold, who brightened the last six years of her life.  Continually organizing get togethers to connect the people she loved, she was already conjuring up ideas for a WHS 45th.  Betty definitely left a footprint on our network of classmates and our reunions.  It was Betty who created the giant mural of our senior class photo, and brought to the 40th and 50th reunion for us to sign.  Betty organized the memorabilia table and security to guard it.  She reached out to "missing" classmates and researched deceased classmates for our website memorial page. Betty valued relationships above all and worked to maintain them across the miles and over the years that separate. She felt a special bond with her schoolmates and devoted much love and energy to keeping the friendships and connections growing. We remember her best and honor her most when we stay in touch and thank our host.

Dear Classmates,

Betty Kruger Lacefield has been battling breast cancer for several years and was doing quite well.  Her partner, Jack  Arnold told me today that Betty is now very ill and has chosen to discontinue her chemotherapy.  He asked me to let you know and to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.  She loves her WHS classmates and misses being able to post her greetings on this website and attend our social gatherings.

For all you veterans out there I have something of value for you. I belong to a site called vettix, it acquires free tickets to events all over the country and gives them to veterans and their spouses or significant others, all you have to do is sign up. Last year July 28, 2017 my wife and I went to Vegas to see George Strait, free ($200 seats, not nose bleed). They also have free tickets to Cardinals and Diamondbacks games; local concerts and Vegas shows. So, if you are a veteran or know one it is worth checking out. Us the following web site: ref/608870

Dear Maryland classmates..

I visited with Midge Galst last week while in Phoenix. She went to Central High and Arcadia.
She informed me that Barbara Bernstein passed away 5-6 years ago. Barbara's son and wife live in Russia        and have amazing multi-language skills.

Happpy Blessed Thanksgiving to all.__Teri Ong Lee
